Check the opening width from side to side. Measure 3 times: top & center & bottom, to make sure the openings are even.
Tip: Measure the top and bottom of the opening to ensure consistency. Use the smallest measurement to ensure the best fit.
2. Measure the Opening Height
Measure the opening height from the ground to the top. Make sure to measure both left and right sides for accuracy.
Tip: Measure 3 times: the left, right, and center of the opening, to confirm the most accurate height.
3. Measure the Indoor Headroom
Measure the space from the top of the opening to the ceiling, to ensure there is enough room for installation.
Tip: Depending on the type of door you choose, you need at least 250mm (for double track design) & 350mm (for single track design). If small headroom, 150mm, also can be made as a rear spring design.
4.Measure the Indoor Sideroom
Measure the space on the left and right side inside the opening to make sure there is enough room for the track and hardware.
Tip: Normally you need around 100mm on each side for installation.
5. Measure the Depth
Measure the distance from the back of the opening to the wall of the garage, to ensure enough space for door working.
Tip: Allow at least the door height plus 1100mm for adequate clearance.
Small Tips for Accurate Measurements
Use a measuring tape: Make sure you use a long, flexible measuring tape to get an accurate reading.
Double check: Please measure twice to avoid any mistakes.
Consult a professional: If you are unsure, it is best to ask a professional to help ensure your measurements are accurate.
